Impressed and inspired by the district administration’s campaign to make Katni TB-free, Meenakshi took a big initiative to eradicate TB by donating an amount of Rs. 4200 deposited in her piggy bank to the Collector Shri Prasad. Appreciating Meenakshi’s contribution, the Collector has made her TB Ni-Kshaya Mitra and brand ambassador of Ni-Kshaya Poshan. Meenakshi has also been made a lifelong member of the District Red Cross Committee for taking a big and exemplary initiative at a young age. Now Meenakshi has the distinction of becoming the youngest life member of the District Red Cross Committee in the entire country.
Prime Minister has voiced his appreciation earlier also
Prime Minister Shri Modi appreciated the initiative of 13-year-old Meenakshi Kshatriya for helping change the life of a needy by tweeting the efforts made by district administration Katni’s Ni-Kshaya Mitra campaign and towards achieving the goal of making a TB-free India.Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan had also tweeted saying that –Beti Meenakshi, this pure feeling of yours is priceless. On the appeal of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, you have taken this step of service and co-operation, I congratulate this virtuous gesture. The Chief Minister had said that the sensitivity of Meenakshi would ignite the lamp of virtue of service and co-operation in the minds of others as well.
Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya also tweeted and appreciated Meenakshi's ‘contribution in providing nutritious food to TB patients by becoming a Ni-Kshaya Mitra.
Governor has also honoured Meenakshi
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel presented a citation to Meenakshi Kshatriya, and the best performing award to Katni district for the Prime Minister’s TB-free India campaign 2022-23 in Bhopal on April 25. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has boosted the morale of the state's talents by mentioning them in Mann Ki Baat today. The Prime Minister has boosted the morale of other children by praising the contribution made by many children including our daughter Meenakshi of Katni district for TB-free India. This will certainly inspire other children to do such noble deeds. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that with the praise of the Prime Minister, there is no doubt that the children of the entire country will be more alert and aware of their duty towards the nation and the society. The inspirational thoughts and work of Prime Minister Shri Modi are inspiring children, youth and people to build a new India.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Prime Minister Shri Modi mentioned the contribution of children and said that “We all know how much children love piggy banks. But 13-year-old Meenakshi from Katni district of Madhya Pradesh and 11-year-old Bashwar Mukherjee from Diamond Harbor in West Bengal are different. Both these kids put their piggy bank money towards a TB-free India. Their example is full of emotions as well as inspiring. I admire all these children who think big at a young age."
In Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Shri Modi also mentioned Gwalior resident Ku. Nidhi Pawaiya, who won the gold medal in the shot-put event in the recently concluded Khelo India University Games in Uttar Pradesh. The Prime Minister said that Ku. Nidhi Pavaiya, a student of Barkatullah University, Bhopal, despite a serious knee injury, managed to win the gold medal in shot-put. Ku. Nidhi is a resident of Chinaur village in Gwalior district and her father Chhote Singh Pawaiya is a farmer.
It is noteworthy that Ku. Nidhi stayed away from the game for the whole year till 2022 due to a knee injury during training in November 2021 and her entire last year was spent in recovery. However, Nidhi started practicing again from this year and won the shot-put gold medal in March 2023 at the All India University Games-2023.
