Madhya Pradesh Mining Conclave: Mohan's Initiative to Realize Modi's Vision 2047

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that the state government is organizing a Mining Conclave in Bhopal on October 17-18, 2024, as a significant step towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious vision of Developed India-2047. This crucial event will showcase the vast potential of mining, oil, gas, and mineral-based industries in the state, which serve as the backbone of development. 

Madhya Pradesh is a state rich in mineral resources

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is a state rich in mineral resources and plays a significant role in the country's mining sector. It is the only state in the country that produces diamonds and is also a leader in the production of manganese and copper ore, which are essential for various industrial uses. Additionally, the state ranks second in rock phosphate production, third in limestone production essential for the cement industry, and fourth in coal production. The state also ranks second in the production of coal gas, reflecting its commitment towards alternative energy sources and sustainability.

Madhya Pradesh will become a major center for mining and mineral-based industries

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that through this conclave, the Madhya Pradesh government is taking an initiative to make the state a major center for mining and mineral-based industries. This will increase economic prosperity and employment opportunities in the state. All stakeholders, industrialists, and experts in the mining sector have been invited to participate in this important event.

Participation of over 600 delegates

Union Minister of Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State S.C. Dubey, and Secretary, Ministry of Mines, V.L. Kanta Rao will participate in the Mining Conclave, who will provide the necessary support from the central government to promote the mining sector in the state. Over 600 delegates will participate in this event. This will include representatives from major companies like NCL, HCL, NMDC, ONGC, and GAIL, as well as industrialists from other states.

Discussions on the potential of important minerals including oil and gas

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the conclave will bring together mineral companies, industry representatives, and other key stakeholders, thereby fostering collaboration and innovation. The objective of this event is to showcase Madhya Pradesh's rich mineral resources to attract investment in the state. It will discuss the potential of coal, limestone, oil, gas, and other important minerals. Emphasis will also be placed on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning in mining.

Discussions on the use of AI and machine learning with automation 

This event will focus on digital transformation, energy security, and sustainability, which will include discussions on the use of AI and machine learning with automation in mining operations. The potential of alternative energy sources like coal gas (CBM) will also be explored. A roundtable meeting will also be held for in-depth discussions on issues related to the cement, energy, and mineral-based industries. The conclave will also have MoUs with several institutions, which will formalize the investment proposals made to strengthen the state's mining infrastructure.
