Pune, January 22, 2025: The Government of Madhya Pradesh organized a special "Interactive Session" today at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Pune. Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav graced the event as the Chief Guest, enhancing the program's prestige with his distinguished presence. The session was organized with the aim of presenting the state as a major investment hub and establishing strong partnerships with investors.
In his welcome address, Mr. Rajnikant Behera, Vice Chairman of CII Pune and Executive Director of RSB Transmission Private Limited, stated, “Under our honourable CM’s leadership, MP has emerged as a good industrial hub, with numerous growth opportunities. It has great business ecosystem that offers opportunity to investors. We look forward to coming and investing in MP as the state has been positioned as a progressive and investor-friendly hub.”
Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav remarked, “We have a special relationship with Maharashtra. Our heritage, civilization, and culture are interconnected. From Mother Ahilyabai to the present day, we have deepened our ties. Today, we have gathered to further strengthen our business relations. Our government is working on making business policies investor-friendly and introducing new policies, which is why the investment environment in the state has become highly favourable. The market potential here is rapidly developing, which is undoubtedly an opportunity for investors. As we strive to become the world’s third-largest economy, our government is committed to providing every possible support to investors.”
During the session, Mr. Raghvendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, gave a presentation on "Advantage MP." The presentation highlighted the vast investment opportunities in sectors such as fintech, IT, ITES, agritech, food processing, pharma, healthcare, automobiles, electric vehicles, skill development, and tourism in the state. He stated, “MP has been blessed with natural cover, mining cover and human dividend. There’s a huge potential for mining in MP, so we want to extend opportunities to investors. Why one should choose MP for investment is because one can maximise their returns. There are transparent and attractive policies in different sectors. We are the heart of incredible India and have great connectivity. The USP of MP is peace and tranquillity, that appeals to all.”
Regarding investment opportunities in the tourism sector, Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director of the MP Tourism Board, shared insights, saying, “We are the greenest state of India and we encourage responsible tourism. There has been an investment of Rs 3850 crore. There’s a huge land opportunity with 10,000 crore hectares of land. MP is truly the place to invest and stay invested.”
Mr. Sanjay Dubey, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, outlined the investment potential in IT, ITES, and ESDM sectors, as well as the state’s policies, stating, “With a vibrant technological ecosystem, over 1,200 tech startups, 50,000 technical graduates annually, and 24/7 green energy availability, MP offers unmatched opportunities. Our investor-friendly policies and schemes encourage industries to thrive here. As the cleanest state for seven consecutive years, we prioritize work-life balance while fostering innovation. Madhya Pradesh is where businesses flourish.”
Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav aims to position Madhya Pradesh as a leading investment hub through investment-friendly policies, excellent infrastructure, and skilled human resources. To date, the state has received investment proposals exceeding Rs 4 lakh crore. This session plays a vital role in promoting investments across various sectors of the state. Prior interactive sessions held in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Coimbatore have been successful in establishing strong communication with investors.
This session was part of the preparations for the "Global Investors Summit 2025", which will be held in Bhopal on February 24 and 25, in the presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
The event was also attended by prominent figures from the industry. Mr. Hiroshi Yoshizana, Managing Director of Bridgestone India, praised the state's investment-friendly environment and shared his experiences. During the session, Mr. Chandramouli Shukla, Managing Director of MP Industrial Development Corporation, was also present. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Sudhir Mehta, Chairman of Pinnacle Industries.
